INDICATION

LuciVeric is indicated to reduce the risk of cardiovascular death and heart failure (HF) hospitalization following a hospitalization for heart failure or need for outpatient intravenous diuretics.

It is indicated in adults with symptomatic chronic heart failure with reduced ejection fraction (less than 45%).

LuciVeric is used as part of standard heart failure therapy to improve clinical outcomes in high-risk patients following a recent worsening heart failure event.

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION

Recommended Dosage:

The recommended starting dose of LuciVeric is 2.5 mg orally once daily with food.

• Double the dose approximately every 2 weeks to reach the target maintenance dose of 10 mg once daily, as tolerated.
• Tablets may be crushed and mixed with water for patients who have difficulty swallowing.

DOSAGE FORM AND STRENGTH

Tablets: 10 mg, orange, round, film-coated tablets debossed with “Lucius” on one side.

STORAGE

Store at 20°C to 25°C (68°F to 77°F); excursions permitted between 15°C to 30°C (59°F to 86°F).

Keep out of reach of children.

WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS

• Embryo-fetal toxicity: May cause fetal harm. Do not administer to pregnant females.
• Verify pregnancy status before initiating treatment in females of reproductive potential.
• Advise females to use effective contraception during treatment and for one month after stopping treatment.

CONTRAINDICATIONS

• Concomitant use with other soluble guanylate cyclase (sGC) stimulators
• Pregnancy

ADVERSE REACTIONS

Most common adverse reactions (≥5%):

• Hypotension
• Anemia
